Adventures of An Inspiring Music Educator

dontcryoutloud-deactivated20120 asked: Hey. Sorry if this is super creepy, but I saw your bio thing on musiceducators tumblr and I noticed you're up at Potsdam's Crane School. I was wondering if you could tell me how it is? I'm a freshman Music Ed major this year at Adelphi in Long Island, but I was accepted to Crane's program and turned it down without really looking into it.

yeah I know Adelphi (Im from Commack)

Crane is awesome. It is competitive but not as cut-throat as a conservatory and the music education professors are very good at what they do and are always open to the newest ideas that we come up with in music education.

another thing i love about this place is that there are a million and one concerts, not just student concerts but they bring in a lot of people. This semester they had Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, the NY Phil Principal Brass Quintet; next semester they’re bringing Donny McCaslin and The San Francisco Jazz Collective.

Even though it is is guam it is a great musical school and I love it, even though I am always super busy!
